I have had experience as an entry level substance abuse counselor, classroom instructor, small arms range master, and adult Sunday School teacher as well as a Protestant Lay Reader while active duty. I have held positions that were normally held by more experienced individuals as well as tactical postings such as Naval Landing Force Squad Leader, Guided Missile Weapons Engagement Controller, 5"/54 Caliber Mk. 42 Mods 9 & 10 Mount Captain; Harpoon Surface Naval Weapons System Launcher Controller, as well as working in leadership positions in Corrections and unarmed security since retiring from my Naval Career. I worked in Banking and Finance processing foreign items (checks) to the Federal Reserve in Jacksonville Florida for Client Banks while at FISERV FDS. I have worked in Shipyard environments doing repair and rework to Naval Ordnance systems, replacing gun mounts on ships, assisting shipyard riggers, welders, doing fire watches. There is nothing more rewarding to me than watching a Naval vessel that came in broken leaving a dry dock and shipyard ready for anything.
