As part of the AWARD program, I played a key role in empowering women in African agricultural science. I fostered strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, ensuring everyone worked together effectively. I helped organize and deliver training programs, equipping upcoming female scientists with essential writing and publishing skills. This not only benefited the women but also contributed to the program's overall goal.Through research, I provided valuable insights that shaped the development and implementation of AWARD's initiatives. Furthermore, I spearheaded the organization of workshops and meetings, promoting collaboration between women scientists, government agencies, and other partners. This not only increased their visibility but also fostered a strong network.I actively participated in generating reports that documented the program's progress and impact. These reports, based on data and feedback, provided valuable learning opportunities and ensured transparent communication with donors. Additionally, I supported the M&E team in tracking progress, ensuring AWARD's activities effectively addressed gender inclusion within agricultural research and development.

My role at the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System for Eastern and Central Africa (ReSAKSS-ECA) based at ILRI, Kenya focused on supporting policy research related to gender, agricultural trade, and policy reviews. I played a crucial part in implementing the CAADP M&E framework, a system for tracking progress on agricultural development goals across East and Central Africa. This involved monitoring over 30 key indicators, allowing us to assess resource allocation and achievement of targets. My contributions to the M&E reports helped facilitate knowledge sharing and mutual learning among countries in the region.Furthermore, I actively supported activities that strengthened the capacity of stakeholders in agriculture and food security to make informed decisions. My expertise extended to designing data collection tools, reviewing protocols, and training field staff, ensuring the quality and success of data collection projects. I led data analysis, simulations, and econometric modeling for three peer-reviewed working papers.
