For a finance professional, I was not keen on business at first. I dropped business studies in my first year of high school and did computer studies instead. It was during computer class that I stumbled on an article on how economics helps make better financial decisions and how simple changes can result in great outcomes, and it sparked my interest. It is through this passionate curiosity that I went on to study business. I now hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in finance, CPA, MBA Finance and other professional certifications.Over the last 13 years, I have practiced as a finance professional working for a DFI assessing performance of investment portfolios, making forecasts, projections and recommendations; handling controlling functions on budgeting and financial reporting (IFRS, GAAP); and currently am responsible for tracking Cash Flow, Investments Management, Compliance, FP&A and Controlling to meet the company objectives.
