This mega project contains a unique combination of technical- and environmental challenges like political pressure, high-pressure reservoir, extremely swallow waters and extreme weather conditions. Scope of the first phase is designing IT services matching the business processes of the production team perfectly. In order to complete this task right, Leo has been travelled to Atyrau on a frequent basis. Primary task of Leo was to translate business processes to IT services and solutions. Main objective was to design local and global services from an business IT perspective. Result of this exercise was a complete package of documentation and models bundled in an Operational Level Agreement including deliverables created by Leo himself like: a logical- and physical support model, a responsibility assignment matrix, process workflows, interfaces and service levels. This assignment has been completed successfully with as end result a solution signed by all stakeholders in scope.

Shell is responsible for the Operations & Maintenance part and delivers common support services for the other venture partners. In order to complete this task right, Leo has been travelled to Atyrau on a frequent basis. Leo has been asked to transition these support services from project mode to operational status. His knowledge of Shell Project Delivery Framework (PDF) helped him to successfully deliver all Transition To Support deliverables resulting in a weekly report showing the progress to the steering committee. Besides this Leo designed and implemented following ITIL processes to the IT organization: Incident Management, Situation Management and Transition to Support.

During his assigment as Assist Desk Lead the end users rated the service as ´Very good´ resulting in extension of the service contract for mulitiple years. Leo implemented new service management tooling and procedures successfully as well during this period.Tools: Service Manager (HP), Asset Manager (HP), Business Objects, Avaya.
