Perform engineering analysis, and structural design to support flood control structures. Oversee right of way permit approval as the sole operations and maintenance engineer. Review and approve construction design plans, analysis reports, Emergency Action Plans (EAP) and design reports for projects and permit requests. Perform routine field inspections, annual inspections, pre-construction meetings, punch lists, final walk through inspections. Manage relations with contractors and other governmental agencies working on Flood Control projects. Work on ensuring a successful transition from OnBase plan review software to Tyler Host by innovating plan review process and training other users.

Performed field sampling and testing, collected and classified soil samples for geotechnical investigations, performed phase I environmental site assessments (ESA), prepared technical inspection reports (PT and PAD), estimated and completed bid proposals for special inspection and geotechnical jobs by reviewing construction plans. Worked on grading and drainage design plans using Civil 3D.

Learned mining mechanics, plant operator maintenance, performed field sampling and testing of aggregates and asphalt for quality control, learned excavating methods for pit optimization, worked on financial reports, led and planned safety training events, assisted company with meeting municipal environmental requirements.

Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial electrical systems in full support of safety, and operations. Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and electrical cable systems under supervision. Feed, pull, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, and distribution boxes. Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and help build control panels from drawings.
