I come from a very tech savvy background, having started playing video games on my computer at the age of 4, so outside of my explored fields of study, I have a high level of computer usage and understanding. I type very fast despite not being a stenographer (160 words per minute) and am capable of learning computer programs and systems very quickly.I worked as a leader at Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre for the duration of a summer in 2018.During this time I provided guidance, leadership and support to a group of younger individuals throughout various activities, both inside a school zone and outbound field trips, maintaining an organized space and an organized prodecure.After that summer, I focused on my studies at University of Waterloo. I started with Physics and Astronomy, as I did well in Physics in high school and enjoyed it, but decided to take a broader approach to Science and ended with a General Science degree instead, having taken various courses in different fields of science throughout my time in University. I took a variety of biology, chemistry, earth science, computer science and physics courses.At the end of my studies, I began working at DaSilva Enterprises, a retail store focusing on soccer apparel. During this time I've developed my interpersonal skills and learned to master tools that work in diverse environments. I've gained experience in working with quickbooks, managing inventory, invoicing, daily sales reports, and customer database management. Some of my responsibilities also include general retail floor duties such as attending customers, providing customer support, managing displays and pricing items.
