His first venture in technology, Aries Technology Corporation, was part of the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Park, and the D.C. area I/T corridor. He helped lead Aries from R&D to productization and private equity funding. Appointed by the Georgia Governor, Smith is currently serving as chair of the community outreach subcommittee for Georgia’s COVID-19 State Task Force.
