Blades Design Intern
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Co-Op
Supporting R&D team focused on developmental MEMs accelerometers aimed at replacing legacy electro-mechanical instruments in aerospace applications. I use Creo Parametric, SOLIDWORKS, 3DEXPERIENCE, Ansys Structures, GD&T, MATLAB, and Office 365 to complete assigned tasks.• Design and present different fixture solutions intended for testing ultra-precise accelerometers• Use mechanical knowledge and simulation software to analyze the deflection, modal, and thermal responses of fixtures and test stands• Create design drawings for ultra-precise parts and assemblies using strict GD&T practices to communicate with in-house machine shop• Use data analysis tools to validate instrument accuracy and perform signal processing such as Fourier Transforms to improve mechanical design and performance of test setups• Create clear visual-guides and presentations that show how to set-up fixtures and accelerometers for different test setups• Design and manufacture detailed models of complex electrical assemblies to present to customers and project managers
Composites Mentor
Currently serve as a senior member in the Composites System, supporting the current leads by spear-heading advanced projects and mentoring members with their own assignments. My focus is to apply upper-division class knowledge and industry experience to validate our system's structural designs.
Composites Analysis Lead
As lead, I was responsible for the design, manufacturing, testing, and validation of all composite components that go onto our yearly formula vehicles. As a co-founder of LHRC's Composites team, I lead projects from design to assembly involving carbon fiber transformation of aero, suspension, and ergonomic systems parts. Was elected Composites System Lead for 2024-2025 season.• Created and tested all current manufacturing methods for aerodynamic and body components using prepreg, wet-layup carbon fiber, and machined aluminum, with the focus on reducing weight and improving performance• Was able to maintain the weight of aero package on car while adding new aerodynamic components on the car and doubling the amount of downforce produced between 2022 and 2023 seasons• Design material lab experiments to find tensile, bending, and shear strengths of components that will go on car• Constructed and tested a 6ft x 4ft x 4ft Composites Curing Oven from scratch to improve composite manufacturing quality• Aero package scored 23/25 in FSAE Michigan 2024, and 24/25 points at Michigan 2023; car scored 8th place overall in Michigan 2022
Composites And Aero Engineer
As a co-founder of the Composites team in LHR: Internal Combustion, I focus on composites analysis, manufacturing testing, and, converting current aero, suspension, and ergonomic systems parts into carbon fiber.Longhorn Racing is a student chapter of The Society of Automotive Engineers located at The University of Texas. We are a cooperative student organization comprised of three Collegiate Design Series Teams that provide its members with the opportunity to explore different engineering fields and grow their tangible skills through a collaborative and innovative environment.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Research under Dr. Jayant Sirohi focused on improving aerodynamic characteristics of tiltrotor aircraft for NASA Ames. I use CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS, and Ansys Structures to design and validate experimental rotors, blades, hubs, and test stands.• Use composite manufacturing and machining methods to manufacture new rotors and testing fixtures• Designed, validated, and tested a tension-torsion strap intended to have minimal torsional stiffness but also withstand 20 kN of force; used both SOLIDWORKS FEA and Ansys Mechanical to create a design with a Factor of Safety of 3.5
Leasing Agent
Leasing agent under Housing Scout, one of Austin’s largest Real Estate agencies which focuses on helping UT Austin students to find housing.I organize and prepare property searches and tours for students looking for housing, all with a smile. I have access to over 3500 properties in Austin. Enforce a strict and organized schedule that allows me to work, attend classes, be a lead in my org, and take students on property tours. Proficiently use both MS Office 365 and Google Suite to organize my tours, leads, and schedule.
Process Engineering Intern
Summer Internship Program at Vitesco Technologies (Seguin,TX). As a Value Stream Process Engineering Intern, I worked under several plant managers and process engineers to work on improving production. From measuring cycle times to determine bottlenecks and addressing the bottlenecks, to designing tooling for a new model of product, to writing work instructions for operators, my skills and responsibilities encapsulated a lot of the responsibilities of a Value Stream Manager and that of Process Engineers.
