My work includes teaching theater classes and workshops, directing, writing and producing performances with young people and children, coordinating projects, and especially developing art education projects for different target groups within different situations.

Coordination of the department of Theatre & Musical (in leisure); Theatre and music lessons after school for students from 6 years to 21 years, cross-over projects, vacation offerings, workshop productions, cooperation with cultural partners & other partners in the region for the benefit of children & young people in the Alkmaar region.

The interactive performances of Artiance - Wat doe jij? (What are you doing?) - bring complicated themes up for discussion in a playful and challenging manner. Young actors play recognizable situations and immediately challenge the youngsters to think along with them and speak out. This active approach creates a peer-to-peer effect: young people call each other to account for (un)desirable behavior and the self-correcting capacity of the group does its work. Within the safe context of the game situation the young people experiment with behavior, experience their influence on others and are challenged to think further about the theme. An accessible festival of high qualityA weekend full of theatrical surprises on and around the Platte Stenenbrug during the BrugTheaterFestival (BrigdeTheatreFestival) in Alkmaar. Get to know various theatre groups and theater makers from the area. Be overwhelmed and carried away by free theater, dance, cabaret and musical theater at the bar, in between the toilets, in the living room or 'just' outside on the Platte Stenenbrug during the BrugTheaterFestival.Each performance lasts about twenty minutes, so the audience can visit multiple locations. After the performance, the actors will pass around a hat in which you can make a voluntary donation to the theater group.BrugTheaterFestival Alkmaar has had six successful editions, culminating in the last edition in which 30 theater groups and performances were programmed. The period of 'Bridging'. has become a bit longer, but maybe one day another BridgeTheatreFestival Alkmaar....

Taught the OnStage classes, setting up and teaching drama classes for all levels and all grades, transition classes (so-called language classes), exam classes, setting up the national exam for drama for the vmbo, implementation of various projects and exchanges with other subjects.

The "red village" (Rooie dorp) was a problem neighborhood in 1999. It is located on an island near the city of Alkmaar. Still it had a bad reputation after a major redevelopment. For a year I conducted interviews with old and new residents. These interviews resulted in a theatrical walk around the island where the audience was welcome to visit the houses, gardens and the construction site where the residents used to live. The narrators were also the players of the stories mixed with semi-professionals/professionals.
