Sacks Advisory provided consulting and advisory services to professional service firms and individuals, including law firms.

As COO for the region, based in Sao Paulo and then in Miami, my mission was to implement the firm's global and regional strategy. This mandate was achieved while addressing the firm's regional constituents' daily challenges/opportunities in seven countries and liaising with its global leaders. Select highlights include: • Leading strategic and operational reviews/analyses, developing action plans for offices/practice areas and executing initiatives to improve financial performance. These efforts tripled revenue and made Latin America the firm's most profitable region. • Acting as key interlocutor and facilitator to obtain support, as well as deal with resistance to achieve major change. This process included implementing required changes to pursue a merger with a large Peru law firm, which distinguished Baker & McKenzie as the first global law firm to establish an office in the rising Andean nation. • Serving as driver and mentor of business/client development efforts. This role included conducting client feedback sessions and delivering professional development training. These initiatives, among others, contributed to the firm's success, which Chambers recognized by electing it 'Latin American Law Firm of the Year' in 2014.

After serving as the Partner responsible for the firm's Management Consulting practice in Brazil for more than 10 years, I was promoted to Senior Vice President overseeing its Financial Services practice for Latin America. As Partner serving multinational companies, financial institutions and large Brazilian companies, select achievements include:• Leading financial due diligence/reviews to privatize several large Brazilian conglomerates, including Copesul, Vale do Rio Doce and Telebras. This process entailed interacting extensively with investment banks, law firms and government.• Spearheading and participating in many business transformation projects involving strategic analysis, change management and reorganizations. • Managing crises and leading 'workouts,' particularly for projects to integrate enterprise-wide information systems.

After joining the firm's London, UK office in 1973, I audited public and private organizations, as well as providing them with financial advice. I was initially based in the UK, then in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and the US (Philadelphia), prior to being elected Partner. As Partner in the firm's Rio office, I honed expertise:• Auditing local and multinational organisations in diversified industries, including banking and finance, manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, professional services, hotels and tourism. • Advising clients on best practices for investing and conducting transactions in Brazil, performing due diligence and providing tax advice. • Providing specialist advice to address financial and operational issues, such as financial and business process improvement reviews, as well as preparation and analysis of financial projections.
