At Flip The City, our mission is to bolster urban biodiversity through the innovative use of organic waste streams. As a Product Designer, my focus is on the design evolution and market introduction of the duckweed tile, a key tool in our strategy to transform urban greyscapes into vibrant greenscapes. My goal is to setup new ways of working to secure additional funding and establish high quality partnerships for our faculty's sustainable growth and innovation in the field of design. Moreover, I am partly responsible for the coordination of design in health activities at the faculty.

In this role, I was involved in the development of a strategic plan to strengthen the University's position in the field of Design & Health. This involved establishing new education, research and collaboration programmes. As a result, I was able to orchestrate a combination of interventions including a magazine, website, book, collaborative programmes and articles that will have a significant, measurable impact on the health ecosystem.

As a Visiting Lecturer at Aalto University, I gave lectures and guided students in courses on Design and Innovation in Context, Opportunity Prototyping, and Design Strategy & Innovation. My teaching approach emphasises contextual, systemic and future-driven design methods, encouraging students to explore innovative solutions and strategies within their unique future contexts. I aim to foster a deep understanding of design's role in solving complex, real-world problems and shaping more equitable alternative futures.

As the founder of De Versafdeling, a student design consultancy, I facilitated the introduction of promising young designers to the market, while simultaneously providing an accessible alternative for companies seeking innovative solutions. My role encompassed acquisition and guiding students through complex design projects, ensuring a mutually beneficial experience for aspiring designers and our client companies alike.

As part of the Passenger Experience Team at the Royal Schiphol Group, my primary objective was enhancing the service quality at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. I designed and developed numerous concepts aimed at improving passenger experiences within the airport terminals. My contributions include the creation of eleven physical concepts within the reclaim areas, and a new hygiene journey in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, featuring three concepts all realized in August 2020.
