Currently I manage a team of 22 staff in the form of OT's, HCA's and Band 5 and 6 CPNs along with admin staff in the Bolsover locality.Providing a well led, supportive attitude to the whole team. Working within a multidisciplinary team as Care Coordinator and carrying continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of recovery- based care programs for service users and their families who may be experiencing severe and/or enduring mental health problems.Fostering a learning culture and promoting social inclusion, enabling independence, and enhancing the autonomy of the service user. To provide high quality, front line Mental Health Assessments to clients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) Provide a timely response to all individuals with mental health problems and acts of self-harm and suicide attempts in order to reduce waiting times for Mental Health Assessments and Risk Assessment.To reduce the number of re-attenders in Emergency Department at Walsall Manor Hospital by signposting to more appropriate services.To work alongside and provide specialist Mental Health advice to in-patient ward staff at Walsall Manor Hospital and to provide specialist Mental Health Education and training programmes to Acute Trust colleagues of all professions.To compliment existing Mental Health Services and act as a first point of contact in a role of gate keeper to secondary care mental health services for all referrals received from Walsall Manor Hospital and to liaise with the Community Mental thus helping to reduce the number of inappropriate referrals.
