•Cultivated working relationships with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and program supervisors to promote a college-going culture at Richardson High School (2592 students)•Collected metrics such as submitted college applications, acceptances, scholarships and financial aid applications for a national external evaluation to quantitatively measure outcomes and qualitative results•Proposed and coordinated large-scale events, including application workshops, financial aid workshops, college fairs, and a college decision-day event for over 400 students•Maintained a secure office space for confidential documents and performed daily clerical duties including the capture and reporting of data and biweekly reports•Use of digital marketing through email, social media, and school news broadcast to encourage involvement from students, staff, and the community in promoted events•Created flyers, newsletters, reminders, invites, and other print media to be distributed among school and the community to promote awareness of coordinated school functions•Designed and moderated a College Center Twitter account (Username: RHSAdviseTX) with over 120 student fans, to increase college awareness and publicize events, deadlines, contests, etc. •Chosen to present at National College Advising Corps Summit amongst advisers from across the nation with the presentation titled “Planning Ahead So You Don’t Fall Behind” •Met one-on-one with graduating seniors (over 800 consultations) to find their "best match" colleges, complete college applications, prepare for college admission exams, and assist with financial aid applications and resources•Garnered $400 worth of donations from local community supporters for campus events•Presented to several classrooms of approximately 30 students as well as grade level assemblies with over 500 attendees
