Oversee all marketing activities for Mediclinic Middle East - Dubai Mall and Al Sufouh Clusters.

I consulted to various client facing organisations in the retail and B2B space. The common thread through these varied experiences has been my interest in the customer journey.Responsibilities include:- Manage and monitor all Social Media platforms namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.- Designing images, copywriting and content writing for social media pages and websites.- Manage google analytics and implement PPC campaigns to improve SEO performance and drive traffic to websites.- Allocate and manage budgets (paid media and advertising spend).- Communicate and engage with audiences across all social media platforms.- Develop and roll-out marketing and digital strategies.- Create and present monthly progress reports based on online metrics and insights.- Ensure brand message consistency across all platforms.- Conducting a brand analysis to identify areas for improvement and opportunities.

Responsible for overseeing the marketing function for the Old Mutual Property Fund. The fund consisted of 9 properties with a total of 487,330m2 GLA and a market value in excess of R20 billion. I managed an on-site marketing team of 12 people across South Africa. Responsibilities included:- Develop, oversee and approve marketing campaigns and strategies, branding and events across the 9 malls.- Manage the digital team with the focus on growing the portfolio’s online presence across all platforms.- Manage a team of 12 on-site marketing professionals across South Africa.- Negotiate strategic supplier relations, maintain relations with key stakeholders and asset managers.- Manage and track the overall portfolio budget and individual mall marketing budgets.- Defined and managed signature events that have become calendar highlights for the malls creating “wow” factors and experiences.Reason for leaving: Relocation to Dubai, UAE

I was responsible for growing a luxury skincare brand and increasing its market share in South Africa. My role involved building strong relationships with retailers to ensure the brand was supported and grew within the market.Key responsibilities included:- Reporting to the Brand Principles, based in Zurich Switzerland, and General Manager on a monthly basis in terms of new product launches, marketing activity and support required in the business.- Driving customer excellence across the omni-channel environment, I created a ‘high value customer database’ that guided and influenced buying behaviour, resulting in larger basket sizes and closer customer relationships.- Develop, execute and track brand campaigns, plans and PR activity within the retail environment.- Develop and manage the marketing budget as well as forecasting models.- Plan and execute la prairie client events to ensure brand exposure and ROI.- Identify opportunities that maximized la prairie’s portfolio growth, I successfully negotiated and secured R1m deal with a perfumery client resulting in 51% brand growth for that account.- Led and managed the sales team to ensure targets were achieved and counters supported, my leadership was demonstrated through good results as I grew a major retail account by 18% in 2017.- Successfully launched a sales counter in a new retailer as well as achieving 144% growth in that store.- Analyse and improve business processes between the brands and the retailers (sufficient stock levels, staffing, forecasting, counter opportunities and profitability etc.)Reason for leaving: Head hunted for Marketing Portfolio Manager role at Excellerate Brand Management
