I have successfully managed a number of health programs in the not-for profit sector to allow access for vulnerable community members to affordable quality primary health care in a community setting. This has been through my work with the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN, and formerly with South Eastern Sydney Medicare Local and St George Division of General Practice. My current focus is on mental health and suicide prevention.In addition, for 13 years I was a voluntary Board member, serving 7 years as chairperson of Pole Depot a not-for profit community service based in the St George/Sutherland area. This organisation specialised in youth services, childcare (out of school hours), aged care, respite for carers and a hub to support the local community, and has subsequently merged with 2 other organisations to become 3Bridges Community.Strategic partnerships have been essential in all of this work and I have developed a large network of contacts in all of these areas.Known within the health and community sectors for achieving strategic outcomes that have significantly benefited the target groups involved, I have had considerable success in introducing new programs on budget, on time – while ensuring quality service, prudent management of people and compliant processes and procedures.My passion is to ensure that those in the community who may be more vulnerable are afforded access to quality primary health care that can make a difference to their lives and the lives of others around them.My work history shows that I have a range of skills that have enabled me to work effectively with diverse communities, health professionals and GP clinical staff to build and deliver strategic community based programs across the CESPHN region. I always strive to achieve a high level of measurable quality client service and am a great believer in strategic continuous improvement, both at a personal, team and organisational level.
