Fidessa provides financial institutions with multi-asset trading and investment infrastructure, market data and analysis, decision making and workflow technology.The role is to test complex software solutions on client/server type applications, which deliver real-time data. Testing is required on both equities and derivatives platforms, and includes the testing of Risk Management functionality.Responsibilities include the following :To ensure that component applications can be integrated into a seamless whole.Analyse, design, write and execute tests, based on processes used in the business flows of customers.Work closely with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure that an adequate depth of coverage is achieved.Test new and changed functionality and carry out regression testing when required.Understand all test environments required by each project and how these interact in line with the testing schedule.Review Functional Specs and other documentation to verify that the product matches the documentation.

DSTi develops software solutions in the areas of investment management, financial planning, customer management, and business process management. DSTi provides solutions for many of the most prestigious names in the financial and utilities sectors, worldwide.Created documentation and online help for new software modules, primarily asset management user guides for financial institutions.Project managed the user documentation for an investment management tool incorporating modelling, rebalancing, order management, and compliance for city-based clients.Designed and documented the online help system for a Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) administration tool for advisers and client administration staff to manage products.Initiated and organised the conversion of user documentation from Word to online help.

BASYS, a subsidiary of DEC, developed news systems and programme scheduling software for television stations, including the News System that ITN uses during live broadcasts.Set up the documentation department and recruited and managed a team of technical authors. Projects included the following:A suite of user manuals for a Resource Management System for ITN.Documentation set for an integrated programme scheduling and Presentation Information and Control System for the BBC.

Cumulus developed asset management software for financial institutions.Engaged as their first permanent technical author to implement a system for the maintenance, control and distribution of documentation and to write new documentation.

Chubb develops alarm systems for banks and governments.
