My practice at DLA Piper focuses on litigation and regulatory issues in the Life Sciences sector, including multidistrict litigation (MDL) and commercial litigation. I am a member of DLA’s Product Liability & Mass Torts team as well as the PFAS Task Force. As a scientist-turned-litigator, I advise and defend corporations in state and federal courts. I enjoy technically complex cases involving pharmaceutical products and medical devices, and working with experts and data to develop effective defense strategies. I am at the intersection of law and science, doing what I love the most: problem solving! Currently, I co-chair the Mass Torts & Class Actions Committee at the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. I also co-chair the Senior Associates Forum at the Boston Bar Association. In addition, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. When my schedule permits, I judge mock trials, mentor students (through Discovering Justice and the Legal Mentor Network), and work on asylum cases pro bono.I received my J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. During law school, I was the Symposium Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. I also completed internships at General Electric, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Bayer Healthcare. I additionally participated in the Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at UConn and the summer program at Yale University's Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. Prior to my legal career, I conducted basic and clinical research. I co-authored several studies published by peer-review journals in developmental biology and reproductive medicine. I also attended graduate school to study molecular biology and genetics. In addition to law and science, I am passionate about leadership development, DEI, and community service. I am a Commissioner of the Equal Opportunity Advisory Commission in Arlington. I also volunteer with the Arlington Family Connection, Inc. I am an experienced non-profit leader and have worked with NAAAP Boston, Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, and the Arlington Center for the Arts.
