Short term contract position using Storyline 360 to update CPD modules as part of the college’s migration from a webpage based hosting site, to a Brightspace learning management system. I was involved in renewing the College CPD course modules into a SCORM compliant format to make them fit for purpose to work on the new Brightspace LMS. Additionally, I adapted them to ensure they met accessibility standards. Worked with the E-Learning team and freelance editors, to ensure the modules were updated, refreshed and made accessible. Also provided support to the editors with any storyline queries they have, as they have limited experience with the software.

Short term contract position with Teach First, a charity that develops and supports teachers to address educational disadvantage in England and Wales.I helped them to add course material and content for an educational mentoring course into their Brightspace learning management system. I worked with the digital learning team, teachers and other SMEs to ensure the pedagogical and subject specific content from storyboards, including quizzes and discussion boards, were added into Brightspace in a consistent and timely manner.

Short term contract work to help create a package of online modules hosted on the Borders College Moodle site, based around study skills and best practices for learning. I worked with SMEs, including the learning support team, to create online modules for the following subjects - online learning, time management, project work, stress management and digital safety. This was done with Articulate Storyline 360, and an interactive book format within Moodle, using an H5P plugin.

Provided analysis and design for learning and development solutions in accordance with Network Rail's Systems Approach to Training methodology.- Led training design workshops with SMEs to agree technical requirements and deliverables for a requested training solution- Used Network Rail's Systems Approach to Training (NRSAT) to carry out learning need analysis, DIF analysis and gap analysis for a variety of projects. These include: Electro-pneumatic points mechanism machines, rail ballast tamper and ballast regulator machines, and trackside basic vegetation and tree inspection- Recommended suitable, creative, cost effective solution that meets the needs of the customer and project, this could be online e.g. ELearning, VR, e-books etc., face to face e.g. instructor led in classroom, or blended- Supported the development team as required during the development process, including piloting and train the trainer

In my role as E-Learning Instructional Designer I was responsible for:• Using Articulate Storyline 360, Camtasia and other products to create and update high quality, online based, instructional material for use in all levels of the ICAS CA education syllabus. Topics include Business Management, Assurance and Business Systems, Business Ethics, and Taxation• Liaising with subject matter experts, tutors and stakeholders to ensure all content is current and correct• Part of the team involved in the selection and set up of learning management system for the organisation (D2L Brightspace) which is providing an improved user experience and metrics for the students, and ICAS• Administrator for ICAS learning management system (myCABLE), uploading and managing content on the platform and answering student queries as required• Investigation and analysis of potential new software, tools and other best practices which could improve team and student experience e.g. Sparkol VideoScribe• Additional software used: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Audacity, MS Office, and others as requiredIn early 2019 I presented a seminar, with D2L, at the Learning Technologies Exhibition 2019 at ExCeL London entitled 'Digital Transformation and e-learning integration with Brightspace by D2L'.

Originally appointed as Instructional Designer, subsequently promoted to Senior Instructional Designer and then to Lead position. Principal Instructional Designer for several large, complex agile projects with high visibility within HERE. Practiced mentor and coach to colleagues, and new recruits, helping build competencies and confidence, and stepped up to cover manager responsibilities.• Utilised Adobe Captivate, MS Office, and other software to create high quality, engaging instructional material for diverse audiences that met the brief of the customer, was delivered on time and to exceed quality expectations. Responsible for improving map quality issues on an EU-wide scale, with a particular interest in in-line quality initiatives.Implemented quality improvements, including rolling out a global tool and delivering training.Provided quality metrics, performed root cause analysis and monitored long and short term corrective actions.

Responsible for updating the HERE map database, both field data collection and addition of map attributes, using proprietary GIS software. Delivered tutorial teaching to first year Geography undergraduates. Formulated and marked essay questions for assessments, demonstrated a variety of laboratory and field-based practical classes.
