I head up five legal teams that advise Amazon's multi-billion dollar Global Real Estate businesses on millions of portfolio square feet: GREF (corporate), Ops WWRE (fulfillment) and Physical Stores (retail), along with corporate workplace EHS and Security, Sustainability, Economic Development and Community Engagement.Beyond "the deal", I support Amazon's Economic Development and Community Engagement work in our communities. This includes Amazon's innovative charitable real estate projects such as a first-of-its-kind integrated homeless family shelter for Mary's Place at our offices, hosting COVID vaccine clinics for the Seattle and Arlington communities in our spaces, and I co-lead a pro bono clinic serving The Nature Conservancy.In my personal time, I'm a forest steward working on land conservation matters, with a strong interest in wine. I'm amazed at how land (terroir) influences taste. You might say I'm all about land in its many forms!

Supported nearly 44MM square feet of real estate globally, including development of the Seattle campus and Spheres, the EcoDistrict campus heating system (from a data center), a homeless shelter in our offices (Mary's Place), and handling HQ2 negotiations with our public policy team and local governments.

Volunteer board member and officer (VP) for non-profit organization engaged in conservation, stewardship, fundraising, and policy matters relating to the preservation and maintenance of Discovery Park, one of Seattle's largest and most beautiful public spaces. CREW is a fantastic networking group for women and men in the commercial real estate industry focused on the goal of improving women's access and leadership in the industry.

As board member at Friends of Discovery Park, I worked with numerous other community volunteers and members from groups like Audubon, the Discovery Park Advisory Committee, Magnolia Historical Society, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Amazon's volunteer giving month team, to create a yearlong campaign of recognition of the importance place of conservation, historical acknowledgement and recognition of events good and bad, community engagement, and stewardship of open space and biodiversity to benefit our community. The pandemic showed the importance of community-accessible space for all. It was exciting to help create a community-embraced vehicle for celebrating the foresight to set this space aside for all 50 years ago.

I represented developers, landowners, and institutional investors and their partners with complex real estate sales and and acquisitions, including financing and land use issues, for all types of properties, including shopping center, office park, and hospitality properties, including winery/vineyard properties. I also handled retail and office leasing for shopping centers, mixed use retail, office buildings, and other projects as well as energy related leases (i.e., wind, solar, car charging, etc.). Our firm specialized in Real Estate Transactions and Development projects exclusively.

I served on the LACBA Executive Committee, and as the Vice Chair of the Leasing & Development subsection, which means I organized panels and presentations for continuing legal education, and occasionally presented topics on Leasing and Development.

I served on the 2012 Board of CREW-LA (Commercial Women in Real Estate) in the capacity of Communications VP, working to advance the brand and message of the organization.

Volunteered on Steering Committee for Opportunity Exchange on the Topic of Green Workforce in Los Angeles, and on the "Since Sliced Bread" contest project in conjunction with SIEU.

Start up company taking the film festival application, materials, and film process digital for both film festivals and the filmmakers, and building an online resource community for the entire independent filmmaking community. Now owned by IMdB (Amazon).

Cherry Entertainment was a start-up (some might say upstart) music publishing company through Warner Chappel and later Universal Music, and also a record label through Atlantic Records in 1995 and 1996, and then through Universal Music Group until 2000. We made soundtracks (like the Crow), scouted artists and made records, and handled publishing for various writers. We plugged songs, signed artists like Korn, Sister Hazel, Tonio K. and Zoo People to publishing deals, got their tunes covered by other artists, and set up songwriting collaborations for records and projects in the making, including soundtracks - both those we were music supervising, and those that others were supervising.
