My past education and professional background is in psychology and research analysis, and after a 15 year foray into organic farming, I have come full circle into social work and, more recently, into offering effective skills development programs where horses are the teachers. Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential form of learning often facilitated within a group format and focuses on ground activities rather than on horseback riding. In this case, the most effective way to learn from a horse is from the ground. Ground activities with horses provide facilitators with a rich opportunity to observe the horse/human interaction, comment in the moment and drive to the objective. Cornerstones programs are objectively-driven and structured to ensure that participants successfully develop critical life skills, teamwork skills and leadership skills.We offer programs to groups of 2-8, ages 12 and up.
