About Leslie Morton

I am grateful for my many years in the non-profit sector and for the skills that I learned that are transferable to my current role in business development with Office of Architecture. When people hire an architect to design their home or commercial building it is generally an emotional endeavor. The homes and buildings in which we live and work are personal to us. Trusting a professional to make our vision a reality, well let's face it, that can be a little stressful. Having taught emotional intelligence, for the past 20 years, has helped me to listen to more than the words people say, but to the music behind the words. I feel that being a good listener is a much, overlooked skill that people don't necessarily consider when hiring an architect. This is something we do well at Office of Architecture. Neel Morton, my husband is the principal of ooA and I am overjoyed to be a part of this family business and to also be able to work with his son and grandson.
