She worked directly with Intel's general contractors to value stream map the current process, root cause major issues and managed the entire sourcing effort end-to-end. The result was a roadmap for developing a data analytics platform to integrate forecasting, ordering and shipment. She helped implement process improvements to inbound logistics and standup dedicated construction onsite inventory management on/near domestic fabs.

Les developed the strategy that kicked off the Market Enablement (ME) Program within Intel's Corporate Strategic Procurement (CSP) group. The ME program generates new revenue streams for CSP by partnering with Intel's supply base to generate new products and/or new use cases predicated on Intel technology. The program matured from an idea to a planned program based on Les's work. She worked with both internal- and external-facing stakeholders, developed supplier partner selection criteria and a business model framework to evaluate and govern new projects.

Les provided strategic consulting services to clients in the energy sector, Her clients included a wind energy project developer, a private equity fund and a state-level ballot initiative campaign related to renewable energy. Her services included direct project development support, due diligence related to wind energy project acquisition targets, government relations and stakeholder engagement.

From 2007- 2010, Les managed Bluewater Wind's great lakes satellite office. She worked closely with public officials to develop regulatory policy for offshore wind energy development in the Great Lakes, primarily in Michigan and Ohio. As a registered lobbyist in three states, she was heavily involved in the public policy discussions related to the wind business. Les evaluated potential project sites in the Great Lakes by analyzing siting considerations such as transmission availability and permit requirements as well as technical constraints like bathymetry and ice formation. Bluewater was acquired by NRG Energy and in 2011, Les moved to managing NRG Bluewater's New Jersey project. She actively participated in regulatory proceedings as part of the implementation of the state's offshore wind legislation. She coordinated a group of leading developers in the state to develop a financing mechanism for funding projects in NJ and participated in the rulemaking before the NJ Board of Public Utilities. She successfully managed the company's application to the Department of the Interior that qualified the firm to participate in an exclusive offshore lease auction for wind projects off the coast of New Jersey.

Les researched and documented land use and land cover change to support two PhD projects in the School of Natural Resources and Environment. She examined aerial photography of plots in southeast Michigan and digitized (digitally delineated) land cover attributes using ESRI ArcInfo GIS software. Her data was used to determine land cover trends between 1950-2005 and its impact on carbon sequestration capacity of the area. Les held this position for all four years of her undergraduate work at Michigan.
