I am a former professional ballet dancer with over 25 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. As a Pilates Instructor (Pilates Mat & Pilates Apparatus) a Restorative Exercise Specialist, and NKT practitioner, I teach others how to be healthy and pain-free. My clientele includes industry leaders and celebrities from the worlds of business, fashion, and entertainment. I help professionals ready themselves for their peak seasons, their packed travel schedule, their hobbies and competitions, and the marathon of childbirth. And, just as importantly, I teach how to mitigate too much sitting in meetings, too much time in high heels, and too many intense "no pain no gain" type of workouts.To meet varying needs, I use methods from Pilates, Somatics, Restorative Exercise™, and Jumpstart Muscle Activation Techniques to help restore the body to its optimal function. +All clients receive safe & progressive instruction. With consistency, strength and range of motion will improve & all systems (cardiovascular, nervous, lymph, muscle-skeletal) will receive a healthful boost.+Programs for pregnant clients include education on prenatal exercise, minimizing joint discomfort & diastasis recti, & preparing the body for childbirth.+Clients wishing to improve their abilities for sports or artistic performance will receive specialized instruction pertaining to their chosen field. +Those who are currently exercising but experience painful joints, tight muscles, or declining posture will receive advice on improving their form within their chosen workout modality, plus alternative modalities that might be helpful towards avoiding pain. +Post Physical Rehabilitation clients will progress the exercises prescribed by their Physical Therapist & explore new ways of moving to avoid reoccurring injury. This includes clients recovering from injury, hernias, organ prolapse, stress incontinence, & diastasis recti.
