So…I DID retire. Honestly I did. But Dogs Inc and I have such a fond relationship that I said “yes” to a few special projects. And that grew to a cozy gig of about 5 - 10 hours per week. A perfect balance of “retired” life and staying connected to a mission I love. Really, can you blame me?

After freelancing for 11 years, I've taken the plunge back to organizational employment. Provide marketing and writing support to the Adult Career and Technical Education (ACT) Department of the Manatee County School District. Write, edit, design, and layout newsletters including the ACT Update, the Spotlight on Success, Tech Times, and Tech Ed Today newsletters. On behalf of the ACT Department, for seven years I wrote and edited a weekly student educational/career page for the Bradenton Herald newspaper before budget cuts eliminated the project.

Write website content, newsletter articles, and collateral fundraising materials to support the fantastic mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs. Interview students, graduates, staff members, volunteers, and donors to capture their heartwarming stories.

Write website content for selected clients of Webtivity Design Solutions. Supported the development of cost proposals responding to Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Pricing (RFP) for a government contractor. Also monitored ongoing projects for cost and schedule compliance. Secret level security clearance.
