About Leslie Mcbeth

I am a learning experience designer on a mission to make learning more relevant, engaging and fun. As Director of Special Projects at Future Design School, I bring unique expertise on the intersection of design, education and technology to lead cross-functional teams in solving problems in K-12 and Higher Education. I develop new products, strategy and programs that break down barriers and inspire change for school districts, independent schools and corporate clients such as Apple and Google. With on-the-ground experience as a teacher and leader in Ontario independent schools, combined with my early career as a non-profit administrator in design and public policy in Switzerland and New York City, I bring a distinctive viewpoint on current trends and future opportunities for education organizations. A widely recognized and dynamic public speaker, I have designed and led impactful learning experiences for more than 15,000 people globally, speaking at events such as SXSWEdu, the CUE National Conference, ISTE, Apple Teacher Conferences, TEDx, and the Google Future of Education Summit. I have extensive experience in educational technology, and I have been the Lead Design Facilitator for the Google Certified Innovator program worldwide since 2016.I'm Mom to two tiny humans, an avid endurance athlete, an accomplished Ironman, an amateur homebuilder, and I can often be found in the woods, volunteering for the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club.
