As Design Lead for the Google Certified Innovator program, I developed the framework and created and facilitated the design thinking program for the Innovator Academies worldwide, supporting over 500 innovative teachers. I also coached facilitators in different languages to deliver the program in Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and the Netherlands. This three day bootcamp invites a select group of educators who apply through a highly competitive process to design solutions to pressing problems in education.

Greenwood College is an independent school focused on personalized and experiential learning which aims to instil in students a sense of civic responsibility and adventure. As a Green Industries teacher, I used my experience in city building and sustainable design to teach students about the city and how it's built. Over six years, I developed a model of design thinking and project-based learning to engage students in real-world experiences such as design competitions, creating documentary films about urban issues, and building school gardens. I also taught Civics, Physical Education, English, Canadian History, Visual Art and Learning Strategies.As Social Sciences Department Head, I led a department of teachers and helped develop and guide the progressive academic vision for the school, from re-imagining the timetable, to creating guidelines for holistic assessment, to developing frameworks for personalized and blended learning. I developed a comprehensive plan for professional development for the school, and designed and led whole-staff, design-based professional development. As a Guidance Counselor, I developed a new adviser course for Grade 11's the leveraged a personalized, project based approach to learning skill development and career pathway exploration, and helped Grade 12 students successfully gain entrance into postsecondary in both Canada and the USA.From 2011-2015, I was also the Coordinator of Service Learning, where I grew the program significantly, from ~100 student participants per week to over 300 students volunteering weekly in their community through 16 different community organizations. I initiated, planned and led numerous international trips for students to New York City and Southern India. I also supervised many experiential outdoor education trips such as canoeing in the backcountry of Northern Ontario, Sea Kayaking in BC, and multi-day backcountry hiking trips in BC. I was also a volleyball, softball, and cross country coach.

CUP makes educational projects about places and how they change. CUP projects bring together art and design professionals with community-based advocates and researchers to produce experiential, project-based curricula that get students out of the classroom to interact with the city and the people who make it work. As Educator in Residence, I worked with teachers at the Bushwick Academy of Urban Planning to design and deliver a place-based learning experience in Grade 9 Geography that explored equity issues and environmental sustainability. I also supported a group of students to produce a full length documentary film called "The Good, The Bad and the Empty" that explored real estate prospecting and equitable access to public space in East New York.

The Design Trust for Public Space is committed to improving New York City's parks, plazas, streets, and public buildings. The Design Trust creates partnerships between city agencies, community groups and designers, architects and urban planners to use design to re-imagine New York City's public built environment.- Fostered the Design Trust’s first Education Partnership with the Center for Urban Pedagogy- Supported project teams in the development of the High Performance Landscape Guidelines, Reinventing Grand Army Plaza Design Competition, Taxi 07, and Intersections: The Grand Concourse projects- Designed print media, exhibit displays and digital media for projects and fundraising events. - Managed fundraising activities including the Annual Benefit Art Auction, The Design Trust Council, grant applications, corporate sponsorships and online giving, generating $700,000 annually.- Lead on coordinating events at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the New Museum of Art

F.I. is a non-governmental organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations, working to eradicate poverty and promote peace, justice, and care for the environment. I coordinated all fundraising in North America, which generated over $350,000 annually through mailings, online giving, grants and major donors. I also worked to educate our constituents through the implementation of a bi-montly newsletter a series of seminars that I presented to Franciscan Sisters across the United States.

As Development Officer, I oversaw six unique mail appeals in ten languages to 21 countries, which generated one-third of the annual income for F.I. Geneva. In addition, I managed database administration; processed donations and created fundraising reports; generated correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director; and wrote government and foundation grant applications.

Co-founded a network of young professionals in Geneva to create social and professional networking opportunities and to raise funds for local charities.

Teaching assistant for the first-year survey course in Art History. Taught four tutorial sessions each week, graded papers and exams, gave slide-based lectures to small groups of students.
