About Les Z.

Since I was a kid, I have been enamored with technology. Blinking lights, whirring drives, and boundless knowledge being just a point and click away, I would always think about the endless possibilities that await discovery just on the other side of the screen.This fascination soon evolved into a passion, starting with my first big break into tech, becoming a Network Technician. I began by designing my own physical networks, running the cables according to code, building out the demarcation, installing routers, switches, and servers, and finally booting up the entire system, leaving the site ready for utilization.From this, I became focused on supporting end users. I became a tech guru for a civil engineering firm that leveraged its own unique tools and software to help shape the world. Here, I was rewarded with many types of challenges that ranged from System Administration of Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL, Device Management and imaging, to breaking into Azure from migration to maintenance.My latest role as the Manager of Application Support Engineering at Brikl has been my greatest challenge yet. With so many opportunities to learn and to flex my Cloud and Network experience, I have flourished as a highly regarded asset. Some of my most important accomplishments include: revamping the pre-existing support system to dramatically improve customer satisfaction and retention, reducing overhead and enhancing processes in AWS, working with development tools to track and eradicate bugs in production code, and resolving internal issues through training, effective documentation, and communication.When I’m off the clock, I adore spending time with my dedicated partner and three wonderful children. They inspire me daily and are the main motivation to constantly become better at not only what I do but also who I become. I have a very wide spectrum of interests and usually share common ground with everyone.
