Product Functions• Deliver the highest level of product with respect to financial reporting and analysis, internal control compliance and business management. Ensure this is done with both integrity and accuracy.• Ensure the preparation of a comprehensive monthly report of the entire financial results of the hotel in established corporate formats and in accordance with USALI/GAAP• Effectively advocate Finance Department programs and policies to Planning Committee, Department Heads and employee groups.• Monitor the status of Accounts Receivable aging and billing collections.• Maintain files on all contracts, leases and agreements and ensure compliance with their requirements.• Ensure compliance with all loan covenants and the balance of long-term debt is accurate.• Manage interest accruals on long-term debt may be recorded on the hotel's books; ensure accuracy of the unpaid balance and applicable interest rate, and accrue the expense to the Interest Expense line item and record the corresponding liability in the Accrued Interest liability account.• Monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts are prepared. • Review and sign off on all bank reconciliations monthly.• Continuously strive for improvement of processes and efficiency.Profit Functions • Monitor, control and record all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel.• Closely monitor and effectively manage labor costs. Comply with applicable Employment Laws.• Prepare forecasts and budgets as required locally, by corporate office or Management Agreement.• Review the cash position of the hotel on a daily basis in order to optimize the use of funds.• Ensure gains/losses on the sale/disposal of fixed assets are properly disclosed and recorded.• Always search out and drive new business opportunities that benefit the hotel.

This mixed use development includes 188 guest rooms, 52 private residences, 4,500 sq ft of event space, 3 restaurants/bar, 14,000 sq ft full-service health club and spa.Developed chart of account system using a parent/child relationship structure allowing for flexibility as the business model evolves and expands.Managed the financial workflow process of all systems to ensure effective and accurate communication of data while maintaining integrity as prescribed by the Sarbanes-Oxley act.Created an efficient accounting team which included; Credit Manager, Paymaster, Revenue Auditor, and Payables Clerk. Published the corporate finance manual which included; Policy and procedures, internal control testing, job descriptions, and position training materials.

This one-of-a-kind mixed use facility opened in December 2006 and earned the Five Diamond award in 2009. The facility offers two very unique services. The first is Westlake Village Studios, a 6,000 sq ft state of the art high definition television/movie production studio. Second is California Health & Longevity Institute, offering seamless integration of an on-site medical clinic along with Nutrition, Fitness, and Life Balance. The hotel features 270 guest rooms, 40,000 sq ft of function space, 16,000 sq ft of fitness facilities, 28 spa treatment rooms, 4 restaurants/bars, and 3 retail outlets.Introduced a simple but comprehensive expense allocation to effectively recognize the appropriate expenses between business entities.Produced 2009 budget in concert with Executive Committee and participated in the presentation to the Senior Vice President of Operations.Presented financial performance to ownership during monthly boardroom meetings.Conducted Internal Audit which required a comprehensive report to the Audit Board detailing findings and recommendations for remediation and improvement.

As the first ski resort in the Four Seasons portfolio, this mixed use property concept was the first in the industry. The Resort features 124 guest rooms, 10 fractional units, 57 private residences along with a full complement of dining, spa, fitness, and event services. In 2007 earned the distinction as a Five Diamond Resort. Upheld the responsibilities of the Director of Finance during a two month vacancy, during which time I presented financial reports to; Streamlined and re-allocated personnel resources to facilitate the month end closing process from ten days to five.Coordinated the implementation of a full back office suite of applications which included the general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting. Additionally, it required a complete restructuring of the chart of accounts from three to seven dimensions.

This 431 room Resort, on 400 acres, was recognized in 2004 with the Five Diamond award. Annually they host the Byron Nelson Golf Classic on one of its two golf courses. It features a full service fitness facility with over 1,500 private members, conference center with 34,000 sq ft of meeting space and 29 multi function rooms, several restaurants/bars, multiple retail outlets, and 16 treatment room Spa. Converted the resort gift certificate system to a web based gift card program which allowed consumers to purchase and conduct balance inquiries on-line. Converted all Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets into Excel, requiring that complex macros which link to informational databases remained functional.

Restructured the audit functions to allow for a seven day audit to be completed within five days while taking on additional responsibilities of reconciling several balance sheet accounts as well as balancing and remitting the sales tax reports to the appropriate agencies. Gained operational experience as my career began in Food & Beverage. I assisted in the introduction of the newly conceptualized casual, chic restaurant Quattro. Additionally I assisted in the opening of three restaurants at the newly opened Scottsdale Four Seasons in 2000.
