I am currently a Senior Management and Supply Chain double major at Anderson University. A resume highlights experiences but leaves out personality traits. Below I have listed some soft skills and character traits that are beneficial and transferable in every workplace. Leadership- At my university I have established and promoted Tabletop Games Club in which I lead weekly meeting consisting of 10 to 25 individuals. As a Spikeball ambassador and organized a welcoming weekly Spikeball meet-up on campus to build comunity. As a BCM life group leader, I have been intentional about pouring into and mentoring my group by sharing what helped me succeed in college and giving advice pertinent to their personal situations. Consistent- when I say that I am going to do something, I will do it. Whether it is doing my work on a group project, budgeting my money, or showing up to a meeting on time, people can count on me to follow through with my commitments. Detail-oriented- I have displayed that I am detail-oriented by the accuracy I had while making daily load plans as a transportation intern at Monlycke. If I missed one small step in the load plans the system would crash and I would have to redo the whole plan.Kind-hearted- Last semester my roommates and I initiated a clothing drive to collect clothes from our classmates at our university to donate to a local homeless ministry, Hope Missions, in Anderson. It is hard to quantify kindness but sitting with and serving breakfast to the homeless at Hope Missions is one way I have shown that I am kind and put others' needs above my own. Level-headed- I stay calm when facing pressure. One example of this is when I worked at Camp Cedar Cliff as a counselor I was able to demonstrate confidence and maintain control of my campers in the face of danger. On one camping trip, one of my campers saw a brown recluse spider and started having a panic attack. I diffused the situation by moving the campers to safety and talking to the camper with a panic attack while remaining calm myself.
