CurrentGoggleWorks Center for the Arts transforms lives through unique interactions with art. Located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, GoggleWorks serves over 300,000 annually. The nonprofit is headquartered in a former goggle factory and comprises a 145,000 square foot campus, making it the largest art center of its kind in the country. Now in its 15th year, GoggleWorks offer classes, outreach, and other educational programs in general classrooms and eight large teaching studios in ceramic, hot and warm glass, jewelry, photography, printmaking, wood, and virtual reality; 35 juried artists’ studios; exhibition galleries; and the headquarters of over 40 partner organizations.The campus also includes the 131-seat Boscov Theatre, which presents art house films daily and performing arts programs, a new restaurant called Belly Kitchen + Drinkery, a maker space in partnership with Penn State University, and a retail store that showcases the work of hundreds of individual artists from around the country. GoggleWorks is home to the renowned Arts Festival Reading, the IX Conference for imaginative realism, and several other major national events.
