Mission Floating Festivals in a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to producing high-quality festivals and cultural programs that celebrate and engage the communities where they are hosted. Core Values Floating Festivals is a community-building nonprofit founded in 2014 with these core beliefs: -Members of any distinct community deserve opportunities to celebrate their neighborhood’s unifying cultural characteristics. -Art, music, food, dance, and literature can unite communities by exploring our collective humanity. -Cultural programming and festivals in particular can galvanize neighborhood initiatives and serve a unique role in community development, civic engagement, and social empowerment. –Arts education is vital to building a vibrant future for our communities. Background Floating Festivals (FF) is headquartered in Philadelphia and offers “floating” (that is, customized and yet portable) arts production, management, and consultation services for neighborhoods throughout the country. FF specializes in full-scale festival productions, as envisioned by the communities hosting each cultural celebration. FF offers custom a la carte production and arts service packages for communities with varying presenting capacities, infrastructures, and support bases.
