I use machine learning and automation daily, while also maintaining an interactive customer-facing analytics deployment.I build machine learning models for current and future NLP applications. I currently lead projects using: - BERT (and similar transformers) for natural language processing - Custom word vectors trained using millions of sentences from our proprietary database - Tabular RNNs using engineered features - Pseudo-labeling to build a highly accurate document classifier from just regex heuristics - Ensemble models and methods utilizing more than one of the aboveOutside the world of ML, I develop new features for the company's web interface via Tableau and Plot.ly, write special reports, such as the Deep Dive and the Docket Navigator Annual Report, and clean information from disparate and messy sources to enhance the value of data. I'm also the DBA of an Azure PostgreSQL data warehouse used for both internal and customer-facing analytics, and I am responsible for the full stack of tasks related to this warehouse, from ETL to visualization.While I am mainly an industry practitioner in Data Science, I am also a published decision-making researcher (https://www.apa.org/pubs/highlights/spotlight/issue-160).
