Provided corporate transactional legal services for small businesses startups and entrepreneurs.

Administered SBLC’s monthly pro bono projects, coordinated community outreach events, liaised with law firms and members of private bar regarding pro bono opportunities, and tracked program statistics for use in fund-raising efforts. Other duties included updating SBLC website and marketing materials and working with IT personnel and PLF to establish SBLC conflict check system and contact database.

Assisted visiting researchers and LLM students with transition to law school and life in U.S., and taught effective legal research and writing skills to International LLMs.

Performed corporate audits and compiled corporate filing requirements of domestic and international subsidiaries, researched antitrust regulation of distribution agreements, reviewed and amended Free Trade Zone Operating Agreement.

Trained and supervised Clinical Interns and served as resource for incoming Clinical Law Professor. In addition to Student Director duties, reviewed and amended leases, drafted contracts, and revised SBLC Representation Agreements. As intern, researched and summarized business licensing and other regulatory matters, advised clients on entity selection and formation issues, reviewed contracts, and conducted client interviews.

Designed, implemented, and evaluated adult language courses, intermediate level courses, and cultural exchange courses for Showa-mura Board of Education. As president of the Gunma Association of Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program, worked with Prefectural government on orientation for incoming JET teachers and Gunma International Festival.
