As a research assistant I would take on a support role in various aspects of the academic research and publication process. I was working in the SmartUpLab research group which focused on the futures of urban spaces, especially relating to mobility. I conducted research, drafted text, and worked on SmartUpLab's own large-scale agent-based simulation to design scenarios for future mobility for the city of Potsdam, supporting the development of the simulation, as well as designing several iterations of its user interface. I also edited a video showing the simulation's features for the website.

As a freelance project manager I took on individual projects for limited periods of time, drawing from my previous work experience and academic research skills to take on complex challenges. Clients and projects varied from product owner roles in fintech and other digital products to running individual streams of larger academic research projects, like conducting a social network analysis contributing to the 2022 report on the school and academic landscape of the city of Freiburg ("Bildungsbericht der Stadt Freiburg 2022")

As a project manager I initially ran small improvement projects for Fidor Bank's banking platform, e.g. implementing the first Video-Identification KYC process or the successful Fidor Smart Banking mobile application. I then ran a program in Fidor's Banking as a Service / Software business, replacing the banking stack of a major Dutch bank with Fidor's technology. This included managing 60+ developers and other staff in several project streams at peak and an 8-figure budget.

As an analyst of a holding company I looked into promising new areas of business to invest in, doing market research, analyzing business plans, etc. The consulting side of thr business focused on businesses and startups in heavily regulated markets, and helping businesses navigate regulation, as well as access available funding at the EU and German level.

As an intern in a small political & strategy consulting firm, I supported various internal and external projects. This included designing a predictive model for the constitution of the 2013 Bundestag prior to the parliamentary elections, designing a political strategy business wargame, as well as more "regular" tasks like policy analysis, mapping key players and their positions on upcoming legislation, strategic research, drafting strategic communications, and preparing client meetings.(formerly Steltemeier & Rawe)
