I am Qualified Engineering Officer of the watch with a range of experience as the watchkeeper on Roro, passenger Vessels and Cargo; with additional maintence experience on pleasure craft and classic wooden boat restoration. Additionally I am a fully NVQ qualified Plumber with experience in domestic refurbishment, new build installations ,the commercial sector, and high end bespoke builds. I have held a passion for Marine engineering from a young age having been raised by the sea in a family of Engineers. Most of my childhood and teenage weekends were spent helping and learning how to fix and restore our Dunkirk Little Ship Caronia; from keeping the old machinery running to replanking the hull using traditional boat building techniques. These skills helped spark my thirst for knowledge, love for the sea and have shaped my work ethic and passion to what it is today.Away from work I can still be found on the water taking part in classic boat festivals, or indeed catching up on the next coat of paint on Caronia. Off the water I am an avid Rugby supporter and player, where I play as a Loosehead head prop for my local teams. This team ethos and passion combined with my own work ethic helps me strive to always perform the best job I can to the highest standard.
