Fresh Food lead manager for the latest Tesco Extra to be built. I constructed my team from a mix of existing colleagues and external candidates bringing an innovative mix of backgrounds and experience. This allowed me to focus on how to serve a diverse customer base, in a new and dynamic way. In the store managers absence I held accountability for the store. I also maintained budgetary control over cost lines. Oversaw the management of a multi million pound shop refit, liaising with store retail team, contractors and direct suppliers.

Responsible of the running and long term direction of first the General Merchandise and then Food Trading areas of a large West Yorkshire Extra. I was responsible for 325 colleagues as well as overseeing the operation of the home shopping department. The diversity of the colleagues and customer base tested my leadership adaptability and helped me develop team building capabilities to be able to deliver for colleagues/customers and Tesco.
