Lewis is a Senior Town Planner with Saunders Havill Group. He has a mind set for problem solving and critical thinking, an inquisitive nature and attention to detail. He has a strong understanding of Queensland's planning legislation and the ability to critically interpret statutory planning schemes to identify opportunities within assessment benchmarks. Lewis has a wealth of experience with various approaches to delivering quality residential development and has built solid working relationships with Council officers across a number of South East Queensland local government areas. The majority of Lewis’ experience has been won in high growth greenfield areas including Narangba East, Burpengary East, Logan Reserve and the Southern Redland Bay. These emerging community areas sit outside of the priority infrastructure areas where development has overtaken the local authority’s planning, giving him strengths in structure planning, an understanding of the challenges associated with bringing forward infrastructure and negotiating infrastructure agreements. Lewis also has experience working in premium high density residential development in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast - most recently in Brisbane's Inner South. Through the challenges navigated across projects in these areas, Lewis has gained a sound working knowledge across a breadth of disciplines forming part of the development assessment process and in turn can make meaningful contributions in team discussions when resolving complex issues. This, in combination with a demonstrated ability to manage large project teams and excellent written and communication skills makes Lewis highly suited to managing medium to large scale built form and land development.
