Learned about software engineering practices such as Agile and Scrum, along with many other technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript/React. Worked with many teams of students to create various projects throughout my time at Mines.Study abroad semester in Japan allowed for valuable experience in a new culture and self-growth. Had the opportunity to interact with other students from a wide array of countries and experience their cultures. Interacted with local citizens across Japan and experienced the Japanese culture.Work at the School of Mines IT Service Center provided valuable customer service experience, as well as technical experience. Worked on various various issues with both student and faculty computers, such as network problems or slow computer speeds. Additionally, provided excellent customer service to those who came into the office or called the center, helping them with their various computer needs. Also helped with technical documentation for some areas of the technology knowledge base available to students, and created and contributed to various articles on the IT website.Internship at Storyvine provided career experience working with a team. Created a catalog of company competitors and tied it in with an application to offer easy access to the information. Also created a company blog website using WIX, along with some simple HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Worked closely with the CEO to complete these projects and set up technical documentation.Worked with new company, Enthyme, in a school-sponsored internship. Worked in a team with other computer science students to build an initial web platform for Enthyme with React.js. Communicated with school advisor to gain more knowledge on how to communicate with our client. Worked closely with our client to ensure we delivered a functioning and quality product, and ended up over delivering for the client.Interested in web development, software engineering, technical writing, and education.
