Developed a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet for Executive Director Anthony Starr, enabling effective cost allocation across municipalities served by WPCOG. This tool was pivotal in formulating strategies to counter Charlotte Water's request for an additional 33 million gallons per day (MGD) from the regional water supply.Conducted comprehensive research on nationwide case studies to evaluate successful implementation strategies for market-rate housing, synthesizing insights to develop actionable recommendations for the Caldwell County and Regional Housing Plans. This work involved analyzing economic and demographic data, identifying best practices, and crafting tailored strategies to address local housing shortages while fostering economic development in North Carolina. Contributed to the NC Foothills Experience, collaborating with the planning department on strategies to retain the younger population within the NC Piedmont region. Partnered with Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) to develop initiatives to enhance the region's appeal to younger residents. Attended Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and TechnicalCoordinating Committee (TCC) meetings. Gained insight into transportation projects planned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and learned about fund allocation across various districts.Provided filing and data entry assistance for the Regional Housing Authority department, ensuring accurate and organized record-keeping.Periodically covered the front desk, assisting clients with inquiries and providing support as needed.Initially scheduled to conclude in July 2024, the internship was extended through December 2024 in recognition of strong performance and continued contributions.

The Living Well Center for Vocation and Purpose supports students and the greater Lenoir-Rhyne community in creating lives of meaning and purpose. The center offers activities, spiritual direction, one-on-one conversations, group talks and hosts the Lives Worth Living series whose speakers include theologians, bishops, artists and advocates for justice. As a student assistant I am tasked with the daily maintenance of the center. Aid in assisting in vocational special projects and events to bring the university together. Additionally, engaging students in conversation and center activities.

As an intern for the Department of Commerce I was tasked with assisting clients with employment and training services; including assessments, job referrals & training programs. Additionally, conducted interviews & inputted data; interacted with businesses to develop job orders & references.

The Visiting Writers Series works to build a community of readers because we believe that a community that reads is a more creative, open, and tolerant community. The series is particularly committed to collaborating with local and regional arts and civic organizations as well as non-profits that serve our diverse communities. As a visiting writer’s assistant I was tasked to represent the Visiting Writers Series at community and campus events positively. Organized and assisted with event planning, promotion, and management. Furthermore, engaged the community with Visiting Writers Series events.
