Live Event Production CourseProfessor Chrissy Guest selected me to TA this course because I had such as passion for live stream and I also was a productive and timely problem solver. During the first week of the semester we put on the live production for Stand Up and Vote on the IC campus. As the TA I had to set up the control room and test everything and show the director, TD, audio, and playback how to use the equipment as it was their first live event in the class. It was my job to ensure everyone felt comfortable in their roles and also knew how to execute the live event. I even set up the camera rigs for the camera operators and showed them how to wire their cameras to the 550. We had a huge issue with audio that I had to problem solve because we couldn't get the packages to play audio out. I re-programmed the audio out using an encoder and after many failed attempts, I successfully problem solved the issue and the show went on with full audio.

Plan and execute weekly episodes as a producer of a children's entertainment and education show. Ithakids is a children’s entertainment show with a variety of activities and guests that participate in games, cooking segments, news, interviews, skits and more. Every week is different but we maintain an upbeat, fun, crazy and inviting atmosphere. Ithakids had a development process where we built a set with the lowest budget you could possibly imagine and experimented with segments. With a lot of hard work, coordination, and fun Sunday shoots, Ithakids successfully became a permanent and full time show on the Ithaca College Television station and web.Mentor the next producers to take over the show and make it their own.

As a Student Development Officer, I looked to improve Ithaca College and help grow the Ithaca Annual Fund. I progressed my communications skills by contacting the Ithaca College alumni base and parents of current students and asking them to give a gift to the Ithaca Annual Fund. In order to be successful, I was required to make a connection with the people I reach out to and create a sense of comfort over the phone.

I was selected to Intern for a popular television talk show that broadcasted on News Channel 9 in the greater Syracuse Area. Here, I gained experience in a variety of work settings. As an Intern, I was responsible for handling morning rundowns, guest relations, and the show's social media pages. I also gained valuable experience in closing the show, as well as creating positive relationships with the community.

I worked as an assistant softball coach for Camillus Parks and Recreation for 3 summers. I started as a volunteer and worked my way up to a paid position. I was required to help teach the game of softball to children and teenagers, while also stressing the importance of sportsmanship and responsibility. Through being a coach, I gained experience working in a team and with diverse people.
