This Internet start-up was the first online wine merchant in the U.S. Due to the legal complexities of inter-state wine shipping laws this position required managing crisis communications and reputation management public relations. The Internet shed light on this still antiquated legal labyrinth. I had never been happier working with some of the best journalists in the country from Fortune, Business Week, Good Morning America, and the New York Times among hundreds of others.Product and corporate announcements were often highlighted by launch events in San Francisco and New York City.

Zip2 was the first Internet company founded by Elon Musk, now founder of Tesla. The company built the technology that brought the U.S. newspaper industry online. My role was heavily weighted with IT and business media communications, corporate and product positioning writing, online marketing and production of all launch events in the Bay Area and New York City.
