About Maggie Li
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the US Environmental Protection Agency. I completed my PhD in Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University, advised by Drs. Marianthi Kioumourtzoglou and Ana Navas-Acien. My dissertation evaluated air pollution levels and burdens on cardiovascular health outcomes in American Indian populations. Broadly, my research has focused on applying geospatial methods to assess community health impacts of air pollution and climate change-driven events, such as dust storms and wildfires, from an environmental justice perspective. I am passionate about promoting equity and inclusion across research networks and the broader environmental movement.
