Prepare, review and negotiate technology licensing agreement, product agreements and other legal documents to support development of licensing business and Dolby ecosystem across OEMs, content creators, cinemas, digital platforms and consumers; directly work with regional business teams and develop business-oriented legal solutions to help close deals with local clients.Oversee compliance matter in connection with local business and operation; counsel and provide regular legal training to the sales, marketing, engineering, finance, IT, R&D and other functions on a variety of legal issues including IP protection, advertising and promotion, data compliance and anti-trust.Provide legal advice to resolve disputes with clients, vendors and third parties on IP infringement, contract breach, etc., and manage external law firms.

Draft, negotiate and review technology agreements (including research and licensing agreements) between Tsinghua and overseas industrial and institutional partners. Major projects include Tsinghua-Intel-Montage strategic collaboration on new general-purpose CPUs; establishment of Tsinghua Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, and R&D collaboration between Tsinghua and top multi-national companies (Boeing, Airbus, Shell, BP, BMW, Daimler, Bayer, BMS, P&G and etc.). Coordinate comprehensive collaboration between Tsinghua with Siemens as the manager of Tsinghua-Siemens Center for Knowledge Interchange.Handle legal issues and disputes related to R&D and academic activities, including contract disputes, research misconduct and academic dispute matters. Major cases include the magnetic protein case between Tsinghua and Peking University, and the entransy case between Tsinghua and Duke University.Participated in the negotiation of Sino-US Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement in 2017 to 2018 as an expert consultant to the Ministry of Science and Technology providing legal analysis briefing on the Regulation on the Administration of Technology Import and Export (TIER).

Handled various types of contentious and non-contentious IP cases, covering general IP subareas including trademark, copyright, trade name, domain name, patent, unfair competition, as well as IP-related international trade and corporate matters, with focus on strategic protection of IP portfolios, IP enforcement and litigation.Represented top luxury brands (Kering Group, Monlcer and etc.), fashion brands (Toms and etc.) and multinational companies (Airstream etc.) in various IP and IP related commercial and corporate matters. Represented Gucci in a trademark infringement case which was selected by Shanghai Intellectual Property Court as one of the ten typical cases in 2015.
