Organized an initiative to reduce the average sterile processing time of surgical scopes to within 60 minutes. Served as a liaison between College of Adaptive Arts, an arts program for adults with disabilities, and student volunteers at Santa Clara University. Recruited volunteers and maintained a positive relationship with agency to meet the needs of the agency and the volunteers. Helped plan and execute educational events on campus, which brought awareness to relevant social justice issues. Organized and executed an art show to display the artwork of over 30 students with different abilities, with 100 people in attendance.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Assisted the executive director of the Wayfarer Foundation in coordinating the 2018 Skid Row Carnival of Love, an event with 2000 volunteers and 4000 attendees experiencing homelessness in the Skid Row area. The Carnival provides individuals experiencing homelessness with job prep, legal, education, and legal services; gourmet meals, carnival games, and thousands of donation. Created a comprehensive Gantt chart mapping foundation campaigns, social media campaigns, and general plans for the 2018 Skid Row Carnival of Love. Coordinated fundraising campaigns for the next 6 months and raised $10,000 in monetary and in-kind donations.

Teacher Assistant in Dr. Tim Urdan's "Introduction to Statistics in Psychology" Winter 2017 class. Crafted and graded homework assignments regarding theoretical concepts of statistics in psychology. Presented lecture on types of Student’s T-value significance tests, as well as assisted in professor’s lectures. Personally tutored and provided one-on-one feedback to 18 students. Collected and maintained grades and progress of each student in the class using Google Sheets.

Worked with Dr. James Gross, who is the director of the Psychophysiology Laboratory at Stanford University. He is a leading figure in the areas of emotion and emotion regulation, and he has over 250 publications. Assisted on an experiment that is seeking to create a mathematical model of emotional contagion in social settings. Designed new protocol to streamline the experiment procedure and eradicate possible third variables. Recruited and contacted 30 participants using SONA systems, as well as interacted with participants in the lab. Utilized MatLab to run coding of experiment, as well as collected and managed data using Excel. Used an EEG to accurately record emotional response times of participants.

Kolkata Area, India

Organized the annual Volunteer’s Day mass and cultural presentations at the Mother House in Kolkata for over 200 international volunteers. Arranged the order of the groups and coordinated with 8 different groups regarding their cultural presentation. Created over 200 individual bags of handmade presents and memorabilia from the Missionaries of Charity for the volunteers. Helped set up and clean up the event location. Developed schedules of therapeutic activities for individual orphaned girls, ages 2-20, with developmental disabilities (e.g. cerebral palsy) by teaching the keyboard. Preemptively wrote and organized the Christmas Program for children with developmental disabilities, taking into consideration the needs and resources of the Missionaries of Charity as well as the children. Interacted and corresponded with volunteers from multiple countries, many of who spoke very little English.
