I was Head Coach for one season, responsible for the Mens 1st Futsal Team. My responsibilities involved organising training and coaching sessions, kits and running the team on match days. This role allowed me to combine my love of sports and psychology. It provided me with the opportunity to understand team dynamics in terms of communication and interpersonal relations and how they affected motivation, enjoyment and performance and how I could personally influence them through my choice of coaching and training methods.

This was a studentship for a paid research assistant that was advertised towards the end of my undergraduate degree and an opportunity that I saw to expand my knowledge and develop my experience on what would become a similar environment for me in future ventures. The placement was extremely valuable as it gave me an insight on the production of an academic paper and all the skills and processes required for a finished high quality article. It also allowed me to develop my academic writing and improve it to meet certain criteria for specific journals.

Customer-facing service including Delicatessen, Meat & Fish and Bakery.Food preparation including advanced prep of fish such as gutting and filleting. Cleaning of customer and kitchen areas, including mechanical equipment e.g mincer, meat slicer. I trained multiple partners on each of the three counters, as well as being rewarded for my experience and ability by running the counters on a Sunday organising lunch and tea covers and supporting key staff members.
