This was a part-time role alongside my full-time studies. In this fast-paced environment, I was responsible for being the first point of call to the general manager. Within this role, some of my duties were handling cash, processing payments, serving beverages and food, regularly checking the stock, cleaning appliances according to standards, changing barrels and answering the phone. The venue, serving not only as a bar, but also a hostel, means that I was adaptable in communicating with those from all over the world.

This was a temporary role over Christmas alongside being a full-time student at university. On average, per day there were roughly 2 pallets, consisting of 18-20 boxes, with 50 items in each box that needed to be distributed throughout the day. My daily routine was taking the items off the shop floor and upstairs, mark the stock, and then return them to fill up the floor. In doing this, naturally, there were many customers asking for help with their purchases. Therefore, I had to be extremely flexible working in front of, and behind the scenes.
