I am responsible for undertaking research into funds, investment trusts, bonds, and equities in order to assist the investment manager in the creation of investment models for both our discretionary and advisory clients. I also carry out the research for our panel of multi-asset/FoFs, and any external MPSs that we use. This can involve financial analysis of individual companies such as those traded on AIM, or overall fund comparisons within a specific sector.Additionally, I also write our six-monthly economic summary that is issued to our advisory clients.More recently I have become involved with the marketing of the company, and overseeing/implementing the cash flow modelling software, Truth, to the business.

My role primarily involves supporting the investment managers with research and construction of both discretionary and advisory investment models: fund research, economic research, model performance, structured products.It also includes producing investment reports for clients that do not engage with the company frequently.Systems used within this role include Intelligent Office, Microsoft Excel, James Brearley & Sons, Trustnet, Aviva Platform, AJ Bell Investcentre, Dynamic Planner, FE Analytics.

My duties as a trainee financial planner included working as part of the cash-flow modelling department in order to create accurate, meaningful financial plans for clients. The cash-flow modelling system I used to do this was Prestwood’s Truth.I also worked as a financial coach during this period, calling clients to build a relationship with them and obtain personal/financial details that would enable the creation of a financial plan.

My duties involved undertaking research for the financial planners using systems such as FE Analytics and Trustnet, as well the Transact and Nucleus wrap platforms to create illustrations and investment reports. I also liaised with providers to obtain plan/policy details and deal with Letters of Authority. During this time I developed good knowledge of the back-office system, Intelligent Office.

I worked as a waiter for ‘fine dining’ restaurants within racecourses such as Goodwood and Newmarket on event days.

I was a member of the kitchen staff at the restaurant. My role was to cook and make the food for customers. I had to adhere to strict cooking and food-handling rules as well as food hygiene and cleanliness rules. I would often work as the main member of staff in the kitchen during busy periods such as lunch in which I was required to work fast and efficiently.

I was part of a work experience intake and my role was an Admin Assistant. I would photocopy and file documents, engage with customers and help them set up emails and job searching accounts, and create and design posters to be handed to customers to help with job searching and finding a job. During this time I took part in a telephone conference regarding a large Twitter project in which I helped with the design process.
