I am part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that primarily consists of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. We deliver exercise therapy and personal care services via home visits to clients in the aged and disability care sectors, as well as to clients who are in the early stages of post-operative recovery. Our goal is to help our clients live their best lives by providing them, and their families, with the tools that they need to achieve their functional goals and live independently at home.

I guide students ranging from kindergarten to Yr 12 towards their full potential. I focus on making learning enjoyable and achievable so as to help my students understand that they can get the grades that they want. By improving their self-confidence, they begin to take responsibility for their own schooling and improve their own grades. I act as a guide to help them when they don't understand a concept or require a certain concept to be broken down into simpler terms. As the owner of Beyond the Mark, I work on developing the business through advertising and networking.

Fiona Stanley Hospital

I provide physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients with burn injuries as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Burns Unit provides a varied work environment, with an inpatient ward, outpatient physiotherapy clinic, and multidisciplinary walk-in clinic offering clinical experiences from the very acute stage to the long-term rehabilitation stage of recovery. Education and exercise therapy plays a large part in my role with patients with burn injuries, with the intent of providing patients with the skills they will need to manage their own wounds on an ongoing basis. I also play a role in infection control and maintaining a safe environment for patients and fellow staff via OHS and NSQHS compliance.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

I delivered cardiopulmonary physiotherapy services on the General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Renal Surgery and Oncology wards under the direction of my clinical supervisor to post-operative inpatients. My aim was to help them return to their baseline mobility prior to discharge. I was also involved in daily triage, interprofessional practice, professional development, OHS and NSQHS compliance, and education to patients regarding ongoing management post-discharge.

Bentley Campus

I developed and managed a self-directed professional development project in the field of telehealth and tertiary education for my third clinical placement. My project focused on the development of video-format teaching resources to demonstrate to students how they could adapt their musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to an online format. They formed part of a short "introduction to telehealth" course for students about to start placements in musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinics. The project allowed me to develop a stronger understanding of telehealth in a physiotherapy setting, along with videography skills.

Curtin Physiotherapy Clinic

I delivered community-based musculoskeletal physiotherapy services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the direction of my clinical supervisor, I was involved with researching the way in which telehealth could facilitate our services to best meet the needs of our clients. As a result of this research, we were able to adapt our delivery model from entirely in-person appointments to a combination of in-person and virtual consultations.

As a sports trainer, I had the opportunity to provide prophylactic sports medicine in a variety of football codes in Western Australia, including rugby, soccer, Aussie Rules and American football. This typically involved basic musculoskeletal assessments and treatments (such as massage), joint taping, basic sports nutrition, and first aid.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

I gained experience in neurological rehabilitation on the Acute Neurology ward. Under the direction and supervision of my clinical supervisor, I provided high-quality physiotherapy services to a caseload of inpatients and created a professional development presentation. The caseload required me to work with the multidisciplinary team to provide optimal outcomes for the patients, with the goal of discharging them back to their homes wherever possible and referring them on for further services when that was not possible.

Kingsway Shopping Centre

I played a role in the production and packaging of baked goods, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. I would also handle customer queries and orders as necessary. During my time with Woolworths, I also performed cash-handling and customer service duties at the checkouts and in the deli.

I worked in the kitchen and behind the counter, which allowed me to develop customer service skills, learn about OHS practices, perform industrial cleaning, and demonstrate cash-handling skills.
