In this role I was working towards a first diploma in general engineering in the training compound within the Rolls Royce factory, here I acquired many skills including, welding and fabricating, electrical maintenance, manual milling, CAD-CAM computer skills and manual turning. At the same time as all of this I was enrolled at Newcastle College studying for my NVQ level 2 in engineering, I am no stranger to hard work and pushing myself to learn new skills.
