My former role involved the Development of sport for the public, local sports clubs and the local schools within the area. I managed a team of 10 sports coaches of whom I managed their time, support and run their CPD programme, support their development and carry out their regular and annual reviews. As a team we were providing 22 Primary schools across the Bude, Holsworthy and Bideford areas with high quality Physical Education, CPD and extracurricular clubs covering a wide range of sporting activities. As part of my role I also managed Budehaven Leisure Centre where I managed the staff, support and promoted the development of local sport within the area; I also worked within the school intervention, mentoring and support programme for students and taught the Higher Sports Leaders award to 16-18-year olds. I ran a gifted and talented programme, a mini football centre, disability football sessions and I developed a girls’ football centre. As well as these, as a provider we supplied a range of other community clubs and action-packed holiday programmes.
