Additionally, responsible for organizing lectures, supervising guest seminars, educational visits and tutorials. Also involved in recruiting and interviewing potential new students. Responsible for organizing parent’s evenings and open days, promoting to students and parents the colleges commitment to high quality education. Planning and delivery of football training practises, team selections and general match day duties, along with coordinating fixtures and management of academy social media accounts.Typical requirements include; preparing learning material for courses and devising relevant practical activities, administration of group learning profiles and general departmental administrative tasks, providing mentoring, advice and support to students on a personal level, undertaking regular one to one review meetings, setting targets towards current workload and future career plans to develop both graduate and employability skills, assessing students’ course work and material, actively leading class discussions and encouraging debate, challenging social and sporting stereotypes, promoting English and maths and engraining the importance of British Values and equality and diversity throughout and the coordination of enrichment opportunities tailored towards enhancing learning and employment opportunities.

Utilising my great passion for both talent identification and development, I have been able to demonstrate a variety of coaching styles within both the classroom and Watford FC training and match day operations. Typical training sessions would involve a mix of body conditioning, fitness testing, skill development and conditioned small sided game scenarios. I would then assist in team selection and either assist with the game management of the first team, or lead the reserve team fixtures myself. Having previously undertaken opposition scouting for Watford FC, Harpendon FC & Buntingford Town FC, I have gained an understanding of how differently players react within a variety of environments. This is something that fascinates me to learn more about and was subsequently the topic of my dissertation study. Akin to the general match day operations of greeting the opposing teams’ staff and players, assisting the officials, preparing the pitch and squad of game tactics, I have been regularly involved with multiple community projects such as ‘Off The Bench’, aimed at bringing participation sustainability within the local individual communities of Hitchin, Letchworth & Royston. Within this project I was responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical sessions to a budget, from which I was jointly accountable for over a 12 week period. This period was monitored for its sustainability, to ensure that the over 25’s remained in the game and resulted in the initial hand over period of project control to the players, where Watford FC have taken a more reserved position, supplying coaches and equipment for delivery, whilst the players now contribute to the venue hire. This has now entered the initial hand over periods for both the Hitchin and Letchworth projects, whilst the Royston project is still underway.

Organisation of sports development team’s practical deliveries across a range of eight mainstream sports, dance and soft play/bouncy castle coaching sessions and children’s parties. Leading the interviewing processes and recruitment over potential new staff. Responsible for organizing staff inductions, reviews and training meetings to encourage team communication and the upskill of staff. Managing budgets and driving sales towards meeting targets, reporting figures back to senior management on a monthly review and the management of staff rotas and payroll. Planning of sales events, open/fun days and giving demonstrations to potential new customers to promote the physical activities available within the leisure centre. Typical responsibilities included; Leading interviews, recruitment and training of potential and current staff, budget control and management of staff rota, promotions and sales across both B2B and B2C through customer facing, telephone and email communications, experience of applying for external grants and working within the agreed performance boundaries, organisation and implementation of monitored programmes and assessments and general daily lifeguard duties including monthly CPD training to ensure qualification is kept current.
